Answers to the questions we get asked most often.
Prices, timelines and rules — not intentions. If your question isn’t here, ask it: we answer in writing.
What it costs, and how long it takes.
How much does a website for a local business in Québec cost?
$795 for the Essentiel package, which covers four to five pages — home, services, about, contact — a contact form, a layout built for phones, and a business listing structured for local search. $1,495 for the Complet package, which adds up to eight pages, a gallery of past work, online appointment booking and an optimized Google Business profile. After that, $120 a year — $10 a month — for hosting and the domain name, on a server in Québec. All prices in Canadian dollars.
How fast can a website go live?
48 hours. You give us your opening hours and your services over the phone, and we take care of the rest: writing, layout, publishing and domain configuration.
How long does custom management software take to build?
Weeks rather than months. That is not a sales promise but the consequence of a way of working: modern tooling, no layers in between, and one person on the file. You see a real part of the system running every week instead of a demo at the end.
Do you bill by the hour or at a fixed price?
Fixed price, without exception. Hourly billing moves the estimating risk onto the client and gives the supplier no reason to finish quickly. If we estimate badly, that is our problem. The amount is quoted before anything starts, and recurring fees are quoted at the same time as everything else — never after delivery.
Custom software, web applications, integrations.
What is custom software, and when do you need it?
It is an application developed for one specific company rather than configured from a generic product. You need it when the off-the-shelf tool imposes its way of working on yours and ends up being worked around: when inventory lives in a spreadsheet three people edit at once, when phone orders get retyped into another system, or when two locations share no data at all.
Can you connect the software we already use?
That is a large part of our work. We build bridges between the accounting software, the online store, shipping and suppliers; automatic intake of the files you receive; two-way sync between locations; and triggers — stock below threshold, payment overdue, an order received after hours. The goal is always the same: a piece of data goes in once and reaches everywhere it has to go.
What if something off the shelf already does the job?
We will tell you, even when it costs us the work. We do not build what already exists and does the job for a third of the price.
Ownership, territory, support, language.
Who owns the code once the project is delivered?
You do. The code, the data and the access are yours, and you can move to another supplier without rebuilding anything. We do not hold a system hostage.
Do you work outside the Québec City region?
We are based in Québec City, we work across Québec, and remotely elsewhere. Meeting on site is useful at the start of a management project — that is when we watch how the work actually gets done — but it is not required everywhere.
Do you provide support after delivery?
Yes, and it is the same person who answers. There is no handoff to a support desk that has never seen the file: the person who listened to you and built the system is the one you reach afterwards.
Do you work in English?
Yes. Projects, documentation and support happen in French or in English, whichever you prefer.
What does a first contact look like?
You describe your situation in a few lines. We answer in writing with a first read of the problem, nothing to sign — including, where it applies, that this one isn’t for us.
Your question isn’t here?
Ask it. We answer in writing, and a precise question always gets a precise answer.
